8 Mile Ledge

As the name suggests it is a ledge system that runs about 8 miles out of Masonboro Inlet. Depth on the deep side is around 60-65 ft and the ledge is on average 5 ft high. There is a lot of little life to see on the ledge including arrow crabs, sponges, and little fish. Baitfish usually collect on the ledge which can bring in some larger fish. Due to it's close proximity to shore the vis is usually a little limited but when the vis is good this is a really fun dive.
